100 Languages Poetry Festival:Poetry for Peace and Love

There have been several thoughts, talks and movements to bring peace in present times in various parts of the world but the real means of peace and love are slowly and gradually being overlooked by human beings in our society.

In the area of technology and digital culture, the values of melody, art, beauty of languages in art and literature are slowly diminishing. We have only been longing for piece but we are failing to create the platform to tell the stories of peace in proper way and wider way.

So, as a mission of New Bodoland an attempt has been made to organize a 100 languages poetry festival with the motto of ‘Peace and Love’ in the hearland of Bodoland Territorial Region in Kokrajhar, Assam, India.

Bodoland Territorial Region is a land of several languages, dialects and culture. The greenery, natural beauty, clean air, flora and fauna, music and culture, agriculture, sericulture make it always unique and peace.

The peace loving people of this region have come across many unexpected incidences of violence in the past.

But we are blessed with so many peace loving people such as Gurudev Kali Charan Brahma, Padmashri Madaram Brahma and poets and singers like Ishan Chandra Mwsahary, Pramod Chandra Brahma, Jwhwlao Nileswar Brahma and many more whose voices and deeds were always for peace and development in this region.

In present times also, we have such intellectuals who always wish to share the messages of peace and love in the society.

So, Bodoland Territorial Council is going to organize a three days 100 languages poetry festival with name and style as Kokrajhar Literary Festival on 14, 15 and 16 November,2021 at the Bodofa Cultural Complex Kokrajhar, BTR, Assam, India.
